The Magic Moose is a quiet, adults-only (18+) bed & breakfast in Eagle River, Alaska, designed for rest, stillness, and a slower pace.

We’re not able to accommodate infants, toddlers, or children of any age, and guest pets are not permitted.

This is an old-school bed & breakfast—not a private home rental. Guests stay in private rooms within a shared home environment, with innkeepers on-site caring for the space and maintaining a calm, intentional atmosphere.

A Quiet Kind of Luxury

Evenings settle in slowly here. The outdoor hot tub, set on the main-level balcony, offers a place to unwind in the open air, especially in colder months when the air is crisp and the sky turns dark.

It’s a simple kind of luxury, best appreciated in quiet.

A Slower, Homemade Kind of Stay

We lean into a homestead-style experience whenever possible, using produce grown or gathered in Alaska when available, including berries and seasonal ingredients.

Breakfast may include fresh sourdough bread from a 100-year starter, house-made preserves, yogurt, and fresh eggs from our chickens.

Bacon is cured and smoked on-site, and simple baked goods such as bagels, English muffins, and scones often find their way to the table.

Espresso and cappuccino are available, along with Alaska Cool Aid, a chilled drink made from flowers or herbal tea, lightly sweetened and finished with apple cider vinegar.

The Magic Moose follows a more traditional bed & breakfast rhythm.

This is not a whole-home rental.

Guests have private rooms and access to shared spaces designed for quiet use. The home is lived in and cared for daily, creating a steady and predictable environment.
